Wound Care Registered Nurse

Location: Drummond, MT
Great opportunity for Wound Care Registered Nurse in Northwest Montana, about 2 hours from Kalispell and Glacier National Park.  
 
Responsibilities of the Wound Care Registered Nurse:
 
  • Plan, coordinate, and provide specialized wound, ostomy, and continence care along with wound care team including education for patients and families.
  • Serve as a resource person on nursing practice in skin, wound, ostomy, and continence care for the hospital staff and community.  Coordinate, implement, and maintain a comprehensive pressure sore prevention program in the hospital. 
  • Coordinate comprehensive ongoing education and staff development in all aspects of skin, wound, ostomy and continence care.  Help coordinate with measuring outcomes and quality improvement. 
  • Assist in development of outreach with wound care.
     
Requirements of the Wound Care Registered Nurse: 
  • Must have valid RN degree in State of Montana and Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing.
  • One year acute care experience.
  • WOCN Certification Required. 
  • Proficient in English.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and computer skills required. 
  • Must obtain BLS for Healthcare Provider within 90 days of hire.
  • Recent nursing experience (within the past 6 months) working in a wound center and operating a hyperbaric oxygen chamber preferred. 
  • Recent training (within two years) in nursing care of the hyperbaric patient preferred.
