Polysomnographic/Sleep Tech

Location: Brownwood, TX
Great opportunity for a  Polysomnographic/Sleep Tech in the Central area of Texas.

  • This is a full time, night, position, 7p-7a
Responsibilities of the Polysomnographic/Sleep Tech 
  • Under the direction of a physician, administers various sleep studies in order to diagnose the type and extent of sleep disorders.
  • Performs routine patient assessments, scores sleep records, documents other test results, and collects and transmits biological specimens for analysis.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision.
  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Requirements of the Polysomnographic/Sleep Tech ‚Äč
  • High School graduate or equivalent required.  Graduate of a school of Respiratory Sciences preferred.
  • Six months to one year previous experience preferred. 
  • Current registration with Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists required.  
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS and CPI. 

This facility is an acute care hospital serving the Central Texas area.  Their services include inpatient care, a level four emergency care department, women’s center/obstetric unit, sleep lab center, heart center/interventional cardiology (Cardiac Cath Lab) cardiac rehab, Cancer Center radiation/medical oncology/hematology, surgical services, gastroenterology lab, outpatient surgery services and a hospitalist program.
