ICU Nurse

Location: Augusta, GA
Great opportunity for an ICU Nurse in the southern area of GA near the South Carolina border.

Responsibilities of the ICU Nurse
  • Provides general nursing care to patients in hospital.  Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques. 
  • Core competencies will be assessed primarily on the following patient population(s) served:  Acute medical/surgical care of diseases and conditions including but not limited to: cardiovascular (cardiac medical only)pulmonary, neuro, GI, GU, GYN, skeletral/muscular, renal, orthoconditions and diseases including but not limited to: AMI, CAD, PVD, CVA/TIA, COPD, CHF, shock, renal failure, metabolic disorders, etc.
Requirements of the ICU Nurse
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with either an ADN or BSN degree.
  • Current GA RN license required
  • A minimum of 1 year of recent ICU experience is required. 
  • BLS - through American Heart Association required 
  • ACLS - through American Heart Association required upon hire or within one year of hire.     
  • PALS - through American Heart Association required upon hire or within one year of hire.
  • Certification in Basic and Advance Rhythm Interpretation upon hire or successfully completed within 12 months of hire.
This facility is located in the southern area of Georgia near the South Carolina border.  They are recognized as a top performing hospital by the Joint Commission, Cancer Center accredited by the American College of Surgeons, Chest Pain Accredited, earned the Joint Commission's certificate of distinction for total hip and total knee replacement and spinal fusion surgery, and they are the only CARF accredited facility in our area. They are a level 3 trauma and emergency center.
