Director of Infection Control

Location: Milton, FL
Great opportunity for an experienced Director of Infection Control​ located in Milton, Florida.

Responsibilities of the Director of Infection Control​:
  • Provides surveillance, prevention and control of infections in patients and employees. 
  • Disseminates data from on-going systematic collection, analysis, and interpretation of data essential to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of practice.
  • Functions dependently, interdependently, and independently in relationship to other members of the health care team to share the goals of prevention of disease and disability.
  • Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the IC program in their entirety.
  • Assures that all standards are met or exceeded as set forth by regulatory agencies.
  • Demonstrates a leadership style that supports and directs the staff while fostering participative, autonomous and achievement oriented behavior. 
Requirements of the Director of Infection Control​:
  • Requires an associate's degree in nursing, BSN preferred.
  • Requires Florida RN licence in good standing.
  • Requires a current American Heart Association BLS certification prior to hire
  • Minimum of years of nursing experience required and Certification Board of Infection Control & Epidemiology Certification-preferred.
  • Disseminates data from on-going systematic collection, analysis, and interpretation of data essential to the planning, implementation, evaluation of practice, and is closely integrated with the timely dissemination of this data to those who can affect the outcomes.
  • Functions dependently, interdependently, and independently in relationship to other members of the health care team to share the goals of prevention of disease and disability, care of the ill and promotion of optimum health.
  • Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the Infection Control  program in their entirety.
  • Assures that all standards are met or exceeded as set forth by regulatory agencies.
  • Demonstrates a leadership style that supports and directs the staff while fostering participative, autonomous and achievement oriented behavior.
  • Responsible and Reports to Chief Quality Officer, Infection Control Committee, Infection Control Chairman and governing boards.
